Growing Roots offers an exceptional full-day preschool/childcare program during the school year, running from August to May with breaks for major holidays (see school calendar for complete schedule). Our approach focuses on child-led learning in a nurturing, mixed-age environment and ensures children flourish in our Montessori-inspired indoor classroom and our spacious Outdoor classroom located in beautiful Custer, South Dakota.

We understand that every family has unique needs, which is why we provide a variety of flexible enrollment options including full-time, mornings only, or part-time schedules.

To help our program run smoothly, your selected schedule will be set for the entire school year.

At Growing Roots, we are committed to making our programs accessible to all families. To begin the scholarship process, please first complete and submit our Growing Roots interest form. Within the form, you will find a specific question regarding your interest in scholarship information—simply check "yes," and a member of our staff will reach out to you directly with the formal scholarship application and further details. Once submitted, all applications are carefully reviewed by our dedicated scholarship committee, which is comprised of local community members committed to supporting our families.
